A hunter pace is a competition in which the trail is marked for horse and rider to follow.
The trail is rated at the speed that the First and Second fields would travel if they were fox hunting.
Competitors go out in teams of three and four to ride the course - we can assign you to a group if needed. Each group of riders is timed and teams are penalized for either riding too fast or too slow off the pre-determined pace time.
The team to come closest to the pace time wins the competition, whether over or under the pace time. Prizes for first and second place. ***
Riders will ride a predetermined marked course, First Field must jump and Second Field may go around jumps at their discretion. Each field will have two runs with a five minute check.
Course: Through field with varied fences, small logs etc. Awards: At 3:00 pm. Each division will have awards for first and second place.
